The paper deals with a new methodology for calculating the filter parameters. basis is respect fact that real current consists of other harmonic components, which tuned. proposed was used to design filters traction substation 25 kV/50 Hz. operation locomotives in AC supply systems Hz leads rising higher order currents. Due 1-phase system, these are mainly 3rd and 5th harmonics. By simulation subsequent measurement power station verified. Thus, can also be compensating stations standard 3-phase distribution network. described method presents an optimal without unnecessary oversizing. This reduces size cost filter. It shown it possible meets requirements quality under extreme load minimise distortion line voltage.
